Messer Continues to Expand in East China

SHANGHAI, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The industrial gas specialist, Messer, announced today that it has kicked off the construction of a new liquid air separation unit with a capacity of 520 tons per day as well as a filling station with a capacity of up to 100,000 cylinders per month in Shaoxing Paojiang Economic and Technical Development Zone located in Eastern China's Zhejiang province.

The new facilities are expected to begin operations in the 2nd half of 2014 and will be led by Messer's newly formed joint venture between Messer and Hangzhou Tian-an Investment & Holding Co., Ltd.

As one of the important industrial gas players in China, Messer continues its growth and development into Eastern China. This past May, Zhangjiagang Messer's 2nd liquid air separation unit was commissioned in Zhangjiagang Yangzi chemical industrial park located in Jiangsu province while a new specialty gas plant will start the construction in Suzhou city in the 4th quarter.
