Need more baseball? River Cats playoff tickets available now

Haven?t gotten enough baseball yet? Need to take a client or your kid to another game?

The Sacramento River Cats have begun selling playoffs tickets as the team tries to make it into the postseason.

The Triple-A team held a 5-1/2 game lead over second-place Las Vegas 51s as of Thursday, a news release said. The River Cats are going for their sixth straight division championship and 11th in 13 seasons.

If the River Cats win the Pacific Coast League South Division title, the team would open the first round of the playoffs at Raley Field on Sept. 5. The second game would be the next day, with the third, fourth and fifth games on the road at the home of whichever team takes the North Division. The Reno Aces currently are ahead in that division.

If the River Cats make it that far, the second round of the playoffs would be Sept. 11-12. The championship for the Triple-A national title will be Sept. 18 in Durham, N.C.

Four-game packages cost $24 to $60, while single-game tickets start at $8. The River Cats will refund tickets if the team doesn?t advance.
