Will VoIP be the future of voice calls? That remains to be seen. VoIP is the short form for Voice over Internet Protocol. With a speaker, mic and a good internet connection you can make phone calls using VoIP for free. ?Although VoIP is a relatively new technology it has already taken the world of communication by storm. This revolutionary technology may take over traditional telephone system before we know it.?

VoIP breaks up your voice in to small packets of information. These packets of data are transferred over the internet at speeds depending on your internet connection. During the process of transferring analog signals are converted into digital signals. They are then sent over optical fiber network to a receiver which converts digital signals back into analog. That means the broken packets of voice data are then assembled and played.?

Since the signals that travel over internet are unencrypted, unauthorized interception of these signals is easily possible.
